Purchase Information
Medusa Auctioneers has two forms of an auction: live-online and timed-online.
Live-online
All goods offered can be tested and inspected in our showrooms on viewing days (by appointment).
Bidding can be done in writing, through issued bids on the Internet or one of the linked auction platforms, during the auction you can bid live via the Internet or by phone.
Otherwise, this auction works in the same way and under the same conditions as the traditional auction.
Timed-online
Also at these auctions, all goods offered can be tested and inspected (by appointment) in our showrooms.
Again, you can enter a maximum written bid in our system or through the platforms. The computer operates the auction or. Each subsequent bid extends the auction by 5 minutes.
How do I participate?
You can bid at auction by making a create account with us. If you do not live in the Netherlands or Belgium, we will ask you for your credit card information.
Payment of your purchases
The purchase price consists of the auction amount plus the surcharge of 29.5%, 1.50 euro hammer money and resale right if applicable. E.g. can be found on your invoice.
Your purchases may be automatically charged to your credit card after purchase. So pay close attention to your credit card limit. Are you planning to bid on more expensive items? If so, please contact us.
For buyers in the Netherlands or Belgium, we also have other payment options.
Pick up or have your goods shipped?
After payment, you can make an appointment with us to pick up your purchases. You can also choose to have your purchases shipped. This can be done through one of our trusted shippers.
If you do not pick up your purchase or do not pick it up on time, we are forced to charge a storage fee. These are 5 to 10 euros per week per item. You can read more about this in our auction conditions.
