Frequently asked questions regarding selling at Medusa Auctioneers

What can you offer?

We auction objects from different categories. A lot must have a minimum expected return of 100 euros.

All appraisals for auction are free of charge. You can use the valuation page send pictures on this site.

If you choose auction, we agree in advance on an auction expectation and also a limit. This is the amount below which the object will not be sold. If this amount is not met, the auctioneer will keep the object and there will be no auction fee. If other costs are agreed upon, such as transport costs, these are not included.

In the event of a successful sale, we will charge you 22.5% of the auction amount, and 1.50 euros hammer money per object. In addition, other costs agreed upon with you are deducted from the proceeds. Auction house Medusa pre-finances those costs.

If the sale fails then your lot will remain available for the aftersale for another two weeks. During this period Auctionhouse Medusa has the right to sell the lot for the bottom price. If this is not successful then you may pick up your lot within two weeks after the aftersale. (link to shippers). You may also choose to have the object re-auctioned at a reduced price as advised by us. As a last option we offer you to part with the object. We will then dispose of it free of charge.

If you do not pick up your object or have it picked up within three weeks after the aftersale, we are forced to charge a storage fee. These are 15 euros per object per week. If the storage costs amount to more than half of the limit agreed with you, we will re-auction the object without a limit.
